Why I built tools.ionelnistor.com

tools.ionelnistor.com started from a simple need: I wanted small, clear utilities, without accounts and without noise. Converters, calculators, things you otherwise hunt across fifteen sites full of ads. If a tool helps me, I put it there. If it is not useful, I do not publish it.

What “useful” means here

A good tool has a purpose, a result and a short time to the answer. It does not have a three-screen onboarding. It does not ask for data it does not use. The front has to be readable on a phone, because I open many of these on a break, not from a desk with three monitors.

Behind it I keep PHP, JavaScript and logic I can maintain. It is not a lab where I dump experiments. It is a shelf of finished things, aligned with ionelnistor.com. The portfolio shows projects. Tools shows functions you can use immediately.

How it fits the rest of the work

Transport keeps my days full. Evenings and days off go into web work. The tools are where the two rhythms meet: I want something that works, not a pretty idea in Figma. If you need an instrument or a website that holds a real workflow, that is where the conversation starts.
